The “Seminar of Happy Living and Smart Learning” emphasized how extracurricular activities support both personal growth and academic success. Panelists from the non-profit organization PLEAS encouraged students to explore passions without pressure to specialize early, stressing quality over quantity in activities.
They discussed balancing academics, sports, arts, and volunteering while maintaining mental well-being. Speakers shared strategies for managing stress, including avoiding unhealthy comparisons, building support networks, and seeking help from friends, teachers, and counselors.
The discussion highlighted how extracurriculars develop teamwork, confidence, leadership, and career interests, while reinforcing that meaningful involvement and personal growth matter more than prestige or competition.
